Soccer is no doubt the single most famous ball sport in the world. The sport has created many world dominating teams and players have reached legendary status if not godly status. In Germany the major league is the Bundesliga whose lower tier is the Bundesliga II. The German league is one of the most competitive in the world and German players are currently the best players as evidenced by the recent acquiring of the world cup in Brazil. Coming back to Bundesliga, one team has dominated the league for many years and are currently the title holders- FC Bayern Munich or The Bavarians as they are popularly known. Some of the best players in the world have at one time in their career played for Bayern Munich and playing for the club for most players is seen as achieving super stardom. We are going to look at some of the superstars that have played for the team in recent years.
He is the superstar attacking midfielder who adorned the number 13 shirt for almost every team he ever played for. He played for the Bayern Munich for four seasons from 2002 to 2006 during which he scored 44 goals in 107 appearances before moving to premiere league side Chelsea. Ballack was known for his powerful shots through which he scored many goals in addition with passing and dribbling skills. He won many awards including the German player of the year thrice and the UEFA midfielder of the year.

This superstar goalkeeper is regarded by many as one of the best goalkeepers of all times. He played for Bayern Munich from1994 to 2008 when he retired from football. During his time he won the Bundesliga eight times, the DFB pokal six times, UEFA champions league once, UEFA Europa league once, the UEFA supercup and the Intercontinental cup once each. In addition he had many clean sheets and is arguably Bayern Munich’s best goal keeper ever.
This superstar joined Bayern Munich in 2009 from VFB Stuttgart and proved he was worth every penny of the thirty million spent on him. Although not as impressive as was expected of him in his first season, he eventually gained form as found himself competing to start with another superstar Miroslav Klose. During his four year stint at the club he managed to score 75 goals in 115 appearances before moving to Italian side Fiorentina. He is sure one of the most impactful players the team has ever had and currently plays for Turkish side Beskitas.
Although currently playing for Italian side Lazio, he is best known for his time playing for Bayern Munich and the German national team. He led his team to win the bundesliga twice the DFB pokal twice and the German supercup once during his time with club. He holds the record for the most world cup goals and won the world cup in Brazil.
This Italian superstar played for Bayern Munich under managers Ottmar Hitzfeld, Jurgen klinsmann and Louis van Gaal from 2007 to 2010 where he scored 38 goals in 60 appearances. Before joining Bayern Munich he was in Fiorentina where his achievements with the club earned him critical acclaim and adoring fans. He helped his Italian team win the 2006 world cup and currently plays for Hellas Verona.

This Dutch winger was brought to the club in 2009 by then manager and fellow countryman Louis van Gaal. Although criticized for his diving (in an attempt to earn penalties), his speed and dribbling skills make him dangerous on the wings where he mostly scores via long shots. Currently the captain of his national team Netherlands, he has scored 74 goals for Bayern Munich since his joining of the club and at 31 he definitely still has more to offer the club and his fans.
He is one of the most prolific player in the current Bayern Munich squad and a fan favorite. Coming from the junior ranks of the Bayern Munich club, he earned his first team appearance in 2008 when he was just 19 years old. Since then he has made over 200 appearances and scored 76 goals. In 2013, he helped Bayern Munich clinch an elusive UEFA champions league trophy after three successive attempts. He is definitely a superstar who’s name is heading to the club’s hall of fame.
